When the production of the original Mini ended in the year 2000, the new owner of the brand – BMW, promised to produce its successor – the BMW MINI, also known as New MINI. The new model is loved by many but some people do not agree that the new model is a natural successor of the old classical Mini that was endeavoured and adored. That is why they would rather buy an old and used Mini than the newer model. Even though the production of the BMW MINI in 2007 reached one million cars, there are still those that are more attached to the old Mini. Lots of people buy used Mini models from 1969. They prefer the classical model. Used Mini cars are mostly bought by people who really like the old brand. They rather treat it as their own treasure than a vehicle. Used Mini cars are very expensive because it is really hard to find one on sale. The New MINI is rather popular in Germany, but in other countries there are cars more popular than this type.
